Do not mix socket kits and storage claims

The plug-in solar route is about a compliant device feeding a home socket. Battery-led systems can be legal to own, but they may need a hardwired fitting route, an installer and different notification steps.

Current plug-in solar rules do not cover integrated plug-in battery storage. Compare a properly specified installation separately.

Ask who fits it and what is registered

Storage changes the physical and electrical brief. Ask where the battery sits, who fits it, what circuit is used and whether the plug-in solar registration still applies.

If the seller cannot answer those questions, compare it outside the socket-only plug-in shortlist.
